BioHaving had a placeholder profile here for a good year and a half, I suppose it's about time I replaced it with the real thing...
I'm a 26-year-old British PhD student using this journal primarily for fannish purposes: my main fandom these days is Doctor Who (old, new and middle school), though I hang around at the fringes of various Britcom fandoms and I'm being lured in by the shiny happy crack that is Merlin. My last One True Fandom was the Buffyverse, which I'm keeping up with through the comics. I like gen, het, slash, femslash, poly, rare pairs and giant sprawling canons with lots of obscure byways to explore. I have a bit of a thing for unpopular characters - Riley and Kennedy from Buffy, Gwen from Torchwood, Mel from Doctor Who - and I'm not big on OTPs. I went through a phase of flocking everything, but these days all my fannish content should be public.
No need to ask to friend me, but feel free to say hi - I'm awful at checking semagic, so while I will friend back eventually, letting me know you've friended me will mean I notice a lot sooner. Don't feel guilty about taking me off your flist, either. I don't ever take it personally, every day's defriending amnesty day, etc.
